Description
The clavicle angle is measured and used to determine shoulder balance. Shoulder imbalance is one aspect of clinical deformity due to scoliosis.
The clavicle angle is defined by the angulation of a horizontal line and the tangential line connecting the highest two points of each clavicle. A clavicle angle is positive when the left side is raised.
Measurements
The measurement made by the procedure is displayed in the image:
- Clavicular Angle (CA): the angle between the line connecting the highest points of the clavicles and the horizontal plane.
